got a call from a robo-message pretending to be bt saying my internet was about to get cut off because ‘someone else’ was using it. right away it felt dodgy since any legit bt call always comes from an 0800 number. they gave me a choice to chat with a technician which i picked just to see what they’d say - i already suspected it was a con. unsurprisingly, as soon as i tried it, the call dropped. definitely a scam.
