The odd thing is, I don't even have an account with them. In a moment of folly, I pressed the button. I ended up on the line with a woman named Rose, who informed me that someone had apparently set up an Amazon Prime account in my name, and was using it all the way over in Australia! She tried to coax me into following some instructions on my laptop, but it dawned on me that it was a scam, so I swiftly ended the call. It seems this trick has been quite successful, as I saw it mentioned in a newspaper from Wales.
