7 yearsGot a voicemail saying there was an issue with my Amazon Prime account and to press 1 if I wanted to know more. Thing is, I don’t even have an account with them. Dumb me, I pressed the button anyway. A woman called Rose came on, saying someone in Australia had opened an Amazon Prime account using my name. She tried to get me to do things on my laptop, but I soon caught on that it was a scam and hung up. I’ve heard this con has worked on a few people and was even reported in a Welsh paper.
