I got a call from some robotic voice claiming to be from the Inland Revenue, saying they had launched an investigation against me. They never told me their name or gave any details. The message asked me to press 1 if I wanted to talk to the ‘caseworker’. This definitely isn’t how the tax office works and it felt really dodgy. You have to be really careful with calls like this. Absolutely do NOT press 1, no matter what!
