Got a silent call today. I answered and said hello a few times but heard nothing. Just as I was about to end the call, a lady’s voice came through with a recorded message saying "Goodbye" before it suddenly cut off. I've blocked the number straight away.

Got a call again from some muppet with an accent, probably from one of those dodgy places ending with ‘-istan’. Obviously, just another scam attempt. Honestly, it’s annoying enough to make ya wish they’d lose their ability to speak altogether!

TOTALLY A SCAM. Had some muppet ring me up pretending to be from BT, asking for my computer info and passwords. Thing is, I’m not a BT customer and after working in IT for decades, I know when something’s dodgy with my devices. Just ignore it and report the number!

Got a call from 0121144236 around half past twelve on the 27th of November 2018. It was a bloke with a foreign accent claiming to be from BT. I didn’t bother listening much and just said ‘no thanks’ before ending the call. This site is a real lifesaver for normal people trying to dodge these dodgy scammers.

On 8th November 2018, I got a call from the Birmingham number 0121 144 236 at about 3.06 in the afternoon. The man on the phone told me he was Peter Williams from BT Internet support. But honestly, I don’t think he was actually British - he sounded like he might be from somewhere in the Middle East. He mentioned he’d call back once the right person was around. Pretty sure it was just a scam. That’s all.

Yet another dodgy call from someone pretending to be from BT. Even though our number isn't listed and we're on the TPS, these muppets still manage to ring us up. I answered in French just for a laugh, honestly would've loved to see his reaction! After that, I told him off in the poshest English accent I could manage. This was the third call this week, each one from a different number. Seriously, why can’t BT just cut off numbers connected to scams like this? They’d be onto it in a heartbeat if any of us had failed to settle a bill!

Got a ring from this number earlier, sounded like some Indian woman who said she was from BT, saying there’s a problem with my internet connection. Like others have said, they pretend to be from BT. Received a call from a guy with a Filipino accent who said he was calling on behalf of BT. He told me my internet connection had been flagged for hacking activity and asked if the lights on my router were on and if I could connect my laptop to it. Totally sounded like one of those scams to me.

This is the third time this week they've disturbed my grandson’s sleep! I’m proper annoyed. A man with an Indian accent, who said his name was Martin and claimed to be ringing from BT, phoned again. I told him straight away that this was the third time his calls have woken the lad this week, and he just went dead silent. Then I hung up and blocked the number. Waiting to see if they try again...

I picked up the call and a bloke said just “hello,” then there was a bit of silence before he said “hello” again, but with a foreign accent. Pretty sure it’s one of those scam calls, probably from India or somewhere nearby. I’ve read in other places that these types are after your bank info. It’s kinda frustrating how the cops spend their time chasing tweets that might upset folks or hunting down “stolen” memes, while ignoring these scammers messing people about.

Some automated voice told me I was the only one in the conference call - just me talking to myself. Happens quite a bit, though not usually over the phone. Pretty odd experience!
