I've received a couple of calls where the line goes dead, and upon attempting to return the call, I’m met with a recorded message stating that the number isn’t recognised. Quite peculiar, I must say!

they're now adding 0044 before the number to trick you into picking up. i never pick up calls from strangers and if i don’t recognise the number, i just block it straight away. no voicemail left either, so just ignore them.

They kept ringing me for several days, so I finally answered. They started asking about some car crash. I told them to remove me from their call list immediately, reminding them I'm registered with the phone preference service and they shouldn't be bothering me.
