The 0121 code is definitely for Birmingham, but the number after it, 0699428, doesn't look right for any local number - as far as I know, local UK numbers never start with a zero like that. So, this caller ID looks fake to me. And usually, if the caller ID is fake, then the call itself probably isn't legit and you can just ignore it without worry. If this was a genuine call, surely the number would be proper and real.

What happens is, they use an auto dialler that just goes through a bunch of numbers it’s made up, hoping someone will pick up. They definitely don’t have your actual number saved or anything.
