Someone rang up saying they were from EDF Energy and wanted to see my statements. It felt dodgy to me, like some sort of phishing trick to either get money out of me or use my details for a false claim. I just said I’d contact EDF myself to check.

I get calls almost exclusively from Gumtree, even though I'm on the TPS list. Honestly, it doesn't seem to stop them one bit. I usually tell them I'll report their number but it never seems to faze them. Loads of these calls come from companies based in India - I guess they know the regulations don’t really apply, so they just keep ringing away.

Somebody phoned claiming they got my number from the DVLA and said I'd been in an accident. As soon as I told them the phone actually belonged to my 12-year-old daughter, they quickly ended the call.
