I received a phone call from someone claiming to be with BT, stating there was an issue with my internet connection. He instructed me to take a look at the lights on my router, saying their server had detected a problem. When I probed a bit, he mentioned he was calling from a London address, yet the number is listed as being from Birmingham. I’m not quite sure what his intentions were, as I decided to hang up before things went any further.
