This number has been blowing up my phone all day, really pushy bloke claiming he’s with BT Openreach and dropping your name. Even if you cut the call, he’s straight back on the line again. Quite annoying!

Got a call from someone with an Indian accent claiming they were from BT. Didn’t trust it and just went ahead and blocked the number straight away.

Answered the phone and all I could hear was this weird background sound, like a busy office or something, but no one actually spoke. Then, out of nowhere, the call just ended.

I received a pair of calls in quick succession, just eight minutes apart. The callers claimed to be from BT Openreach, yet they spoke with Asian accents while using typical English names. They spun quite the yarn about hackers attempting to breach my broadband connection and warned that they would disconnect it to prevent any breaches. Fortunately, they didn’t get around to asking for any personal or financial details, as I promptly told them to clear off-I'm quite sure that was the phrase I used! I made sure to report these calls to the authorities, including the Police and Action Fraud.
