Got a call on my landline from a bloke with an Indian accent claiming to be from Openreach. Said there was something wrong with my broadband and wanted to check the speed. He gave me a website address that didn’t look anything like a proper BT site. When I questioned him and asked for my name, he said he couldn't share that info or he'd get fired! Also kept calling me sir even though I’m a woman. I lost my patience, told him off, and ended the call!

01209240126 keeps ringing my phone loads, always asking for a Mrs Hargreaves or a name like that. I usually ignore it but sometimes pick up to tell them no one here goes by that name and to stop calling me. They promise to remove my number from their list but never do, still keep calling all the time. It’s really really frustrating. There needs to be some kind of law to put an end to this.

This number has been ringing me about 8 times today, I picked up on the last one but as soon as I answered the call just cut off. Proper annoying, they probably give up once they realise it’s not some old person on the other end to trick. Blocked it now.

I keep getting calls from all sorts of numbers asking for some bloke called Wazim Khan. Told them to take my number off their list but no luck. One guy with an Asian accent called me Phill and said it’s a common name, then just ended the call. When I phoned back to complain, it went to voicemail, then some lad finally answered with a weird "wha wha wha... oh yeah, hello." Asked who he was and he just said I called him, then hung up on me. Proper frustrating!

Couldn’t hear a word and just ended the call straight away. Loads of folks are getting these calls and it seems pretty risky. If this number rings you a lot, best to block it right away and don’t bother calling back.

Got a call from someone asking for me by name. When I asked who it was, he said he was with Red Star and wanted to send me some documents about a refund. Then he asked if I’d had any loans or credit cards with Halifax since 2009. I said no, told him I had no idea how they got my number, and asked him not to ring again.

Got a call from some dodgy lot pretending to be about a PPI claim. They even manage to make the number show up as local, but it’s definitely the same mob. It’s so frustrating having to keep blocking loads of different numbers. The government really should introduce stricter rules on cold calling. I’m actually writing to my MP about it.

Not too sure if this is a scam or just some dodgy setup, but they said they could refund extra payments or unclaimed interest on credit cards. They even knew the exact dates and info for the cards I used to have. I decided not to go for it, but the bloke was so pushy with his sales chat, I felt I had no choice but to just end the call. I’ve blocked the number since then.

It sounded like Arabic or something. I really don’t appreciate people barging into my day and not even bothering to speak proper English. It’s quite disrespectful if you ask me. So yeah, I blocked the number.
