Some dodgy people calling themselves BT said my router, which I don’t even have, was sending spam emails. When I told the woman on the phone she was lying and trying to scam me, she got all defensive and argued like I was the one mistaken. They wouldn’t give up easily, proper persistent scammers.

Some bloke called Sam claiming to be from BT tech support, reckoning there’s a problem with my IP address. Total scam warning - he wanted to get into my router and computer. I asked him for a safe word, but he said he already had my account number, which is odd since I’m not even with BT. Kept insisting on the safe word and eventually he just hung up. Be careful, don’t share any info and block the number, though they might try calling from a different one.

total scam! this person claimed to be from bt and said they'd disconnect my services if i didn’t do what they asked. they didn’t even know my real name. i told them i wasn’t falling for it and they just ended the call.
