At about twenty past one in the afternoon, my phone rung with a recorded lady saying she was from the bank’s fraud department. She claimed that there was a £700 spend and a £1400 transfer made on my card without my knowledge. The message said I could press 1 to chat with an agent or 2 to approve the charges. This kind of scam call isn’t new to me - I’ve had similar calls before and each time, I just blocked the number straight away.
