Got a call out of the blue, but as soon as my answering machine started, the caller just cut off. I had a feeling something was dodgy, so I’m really pleased I looked into it. Seems like it was a scam, just as I thought.

So yesterday at around 10 in the morning, my elderly mum got a call on her landline from someone claiming to be with Openreach. She ended the call straight away cause she couldn’t make out the bloke’s accent. Then, at 10 o’clock today, they called again but this time didn’t say who they were, just mentioned something about her internet, which she doesn’t have at all. The guy sounded quite aggressive and frightening, so she quickly hung up again. It’s awful how these scammers scare vulnerable people and nothing seems to be done to stop them. Proper disgusting stuff.

Yesterday, I got a call from a different number, but it turned out to be the same BT internet scam people are warning about for 01208863650. Seems like they keep changing their numbers but doing the same dodgy stuff.
