When my phone rang, it showed up as Welcome Stranger Cornwall, postcode PL30 5HF, UK. But the person calling claimed to be from Vodafone’s marketing team. The thing is, I never signed up for marketing calls, so they really shouldn’t have my number or be calling me. When I asked them how they got hold of my number, they just said it came from “the database.” Thing is, I haven't been a Vodafone customer for more than a decade. Feels like someone is spoofing their number or something fishy is going on.
