These lot are total con artists. I messaged with one of them for a bit, just having a laugh. When she wanted my name, I gave her my surname first, Jardon, then Hugh. Next, she asked for my address, so I said 69 Knockingshop Lane. Then I told her to wait a sec and went to make myself a brew. When I came back, she was still on the line, and I just told her I wasn’t interested. Honestly, feels good to block one more person from pestering others like that.

I got a call on the 31st July in the afternoon from someone who asked if I was (my name), though he butchered it a bit. I confirmed I was. Then he claimed to be calling from the "Health Medical Service" and asked how my day was going. When I said it was going brilliantly until he called, the rude bloke told me to "F*** off" and just hung up! What a cheeky git! That’s my business, isn’t it! Pretty clear this was a dodgy scam attempt.

Got a call from an Asian lady about some free medical services, she told me I qualified for them. I asked her to tell me my name, but she gave me some other person's name. Then she wanted me to hand the phone over to that person, but I told her they don't live here. After that, she just hung up on me.

It seems they've taken to misleading our elderly regarding the emergency alert systems. My mum was told that her current setup was on its last legs and that someone would be coming to install an upgrade. The poor woman was completely in the dark about any of this. It was only after she inquired that she discovered they'd be charging her £39.99 a month! Unbelievable!

The caller claimed to be from some kind of health service and mentioned I qualified for an emergency alert gadget because of my age. They said it was free, but there'd be a monthly fee of about £29 for the actual service. I told them I already have relatives I can reach out to without any cost and then ended the call.
