UK authorities should take stronger action to curb these fraudulent practices.

I got a call on my home phone from a bloke with an accent claiming to be from BT Openreach. He told me that some sites I visited were showing fake error messages, saying hackers were trying to break into my computer. It sounded dodgy since BT usually don’t call about stuff like that, and there was quite a bit of noise in the background. Feels like another one of those scams going around.

Got a call from 01208 537735 on my landline with a recorded voice saying they were TalkTalk and my service would be terminated today. It asked me to press 4 to connect to TalkTalk or 2 to hang up. I've had this type of call previously, but my line never actually got disconnected.

Just like all the calls before, it was another internet scam. The number showed it was from Bodmin.

Got a call from a recorded foreign voice threatening to cut off my internet. It’s just another trick by people cleverer than the UK phone firms, using local numbers so it seems legit. I wish the UK companies would finally wise up and put a stop to this nonsense.

Just like many others, I got a robo call claiming to be TalkTalk saying my internet was going to get cut off. Didn’t wait around and just blocked the number straight away.

Now the recorded message talks about bank IBANs being compromised or something like that. Honestly, there should be laws or rules to put a stop to these annoying calls that target people who might be more easily upset or worried. It's really not on.

I keep getting these automated calls every day, each time from a different number, telling me my internet line's been hacked. It's so frustrating, especially since I always let it go to my voicemail!

Got a robo call sayin my internet was gonna be disconnected in 24 hours. The message said to press one to speak to a technician. Just ended up blocking the number straight away.

This is a total rip off, just like loads of others have pointed out already.

Got a robocall asking me to hit 1 to talk to a 'tech expert' about fixing my IP address. Since my provider changes my IP automatically, it’s obvious a load of nonsense, but they do supply both my broadband and landline, so it actually sounds a bit more legit than the usual calls claiming to be from the “internet security dept” or something.

Got a call from an American sounding robot saying they were from my internet supplier. They said my internet connection was at risk and that they’d shut it down unless I acted. They told me to press 1 to speak to a tech person. Sounded dodgy to me, so I just ended the call. Seems the same as the call from 0117 110 3186 that others have mentioned. Classic scam move if you ask me.

Got a robo call saying my internet’s gonna get disconnected unless I press 1 to chat with someone. Yeah right, no way I’m falling for that. Total scam. Honestly, whoever’s behind these annoying calls deserves some serious bad luck, like maybe a stroke or something, just so they stop pestering everyone.

Got a call from 01208537735, they coughed a couple of times and then went quiet before ending the call. Ring back came about two minutes later but they just hung up straight away again.

I got a weird message from some fella mumbling about “your phone line is having issues” and to dial one number for BT or a different one for someone else. Complete rubbish, if you ask me!
