I got a call from a woman named Mary, sounded like she had a Chinese accent, claiming to be from BT Security. I suspected it was a scam when she hung up as soon as I questioned her further. When I asked where she was calling from, she said 81 Newgate Street, London EC1A 7AJ, giving me a contact number of 0800 800152, which turns out to be BT Centre’s real number. But the call came from 0120 832 7833. This is actually the third time in three days I’ve received a similar call.

Got a call from a woman called Mary, sounded like she had a Chinese accent, claiming she was part of BT Security. When I started asking questions, she hung up straight away. I asked where she was calling from and she said 81 Newgate Street, London EC1A 7AJ, with a number 0800 800152, which I found out is actually the real BT Centre in London. But the call came from 0120 832 7833 instead. This is the third time in three days I’ve had one of these dodgy calls.
