Yesterday, I received a phone call from a chap with an Asian accent. He claimed to be representing O2 and fired off some spiel about my number being chosen for a fantastic 40% discount on my current plan. Honestly, it had all the hallmarks of a scam-just too good to be credible, if you ask me.

I’ve no clue whose number this is but after looking it up a few times lately, I’m pretty sure it’s just another spam call.

Got a random call from a number I didn’t recognise - pretty clear it was just another SCAM!

I just let the phone ring out. Later, I checked and found a voicemail from some robot voice cutting in halfway, saying something like, “...press 1 for info before we take legal steps.” Quite dodgy if you ask me.

I picked up and there was nothing but silence on the other end.

Got a call from a guy with a South Asian accent saying he was with O2. I mentioned how my phone flagged the number as possibly being dodgy. He started babbling some stuff I couldn’t quite catch, then I got a message from “O2 UK” about a security code sent and not to share it with anyone. I told him I was still suspicious since scammers can spoof their numbers for calls and texts. After that, he just hung up.
