I received a call from a chap with a bit of an accent, who mentioned he was representing O2. He claimed he could slash my mobile charges for the next twelve months. Quite the intriguing offer, if I do say so!

Someone called saying they were from EE trying to give me a discount on my plan. They kept asking loads of personal info, so I told them I wanted to hang up. Then they said they'd put me through to their manager, but I said no thanks and ended it.

I got a call saying someone had used my debit card without permission and they asked me to share all my bank info with them.

I had a guy with an Asian accent ring me up, pretending he was from o2 and offering to cut my phone bills for a whole year. (From what I know, o2 never rings people - customers always have to get in touch with them first). Seems like a classic scam to me. When I asked where in the UK he was calling from, he said Chester, which was weird because the number was showing Bodmin on my caller ID, a place in Cornwall. I called him out on it saying he must be a scammer, and then he just hung up straight away. Pretty clear he got caught out.
