To make matters worse, the call ended abruptly before I had a chance to pick up. Generally speaking, I refrain from answering calls from unfamiliar numbers that aren't on my contacts list, especially those that originate from outside my local area. However, I always make it a point to verify through a site like this before I toss the number into the rubbish bin of scams.
