0120 822 7109 I received a call from a rather courteous gentleman who mentioned that I might qualify for a complimentary medical alert service. Quite the coincidence, as my family had just been delving into the details of medical alert bracelets. He asked if I was over the age of 50, to which I mistakenly replied in the affirmative. Following that, he inquired whether I experienced mobility issues or relied on a cane. I pressed him for more information about his company, and he mentioned something about being based in the South of England but claimed to cover a wider area-he rattled off a company name that struck me as dubious, and I did not take note. I ended the conversation and did a 1471 search. An automated message informed me that the call was from “?fillitastica marketing” regarding the medical alert service, and offered options to opt out by pressing 1, or to speak to someone live by pressing 2. I opted for neither, concerned that I might inadvertently incur charges. I am convinced this is a scam, and I would strongly suggest anyone receiving calls from this number to be cautious and question their legitimacy.

Got a scam call from a robocall, bit annoying since I use BT's call guardian. It only lets calls through if the person says who they are with a hashtag, otherwise, no ring. Proper fed up with scam calls, which is why I got a phone with caller ID and only let contacts in my phonebook ring me. I keep seeing missed calls from the same numbers, so I know they're dodgy. Every now and then some cheeky ones say who they are, so I just block 'em straight away. Luckily most of these scam calls don’t get through nowadays.

Got a call from a man with an Indian accent, saying I'd won a holiday and discounts at stores. He told me he was putting me through to someone senior. Then an Indian lady came on, shouting quite loudly. It was obvious she was reading from a script. She asked for the number on my bank card. I asked why not just send me a cheque instead. She said they needed to activate my card first and the money would show up in my account the next day. Really hope nobody gets tricked by this kind of scam.

A woman with a foreign accent, not from around here, rang me up to inform me that I’d won a Discount card through some sort of Post Code Lottery, which could be redeemed in major supermarkets. Having received a similar call not too long ago, I cheekily suggested, “I assume you’re going to request my account details next?” To which she retorted, “Did I mention that?” I mentioned my previous experience with a similar call, yet she continued to press me with her inquiries about what she’d said. When I questioned why she was grilling me despite being the one who initiated the call, she resorted to throwing some rather unpleasant names my way. I countered with a “No, it’s you who is!”, before hanging up on her.

Got a call claiming to be from Virgin Media, and I told the guy straight up it was just a scam. He actually said, “yeah, you’re right,” but I don’t think he really meant it. Then he just ended the call.

This looks like a total postcode lottery scam to me, and I don’t get why the coppers havent shut down the number yet. Is it like those other “watchdog” sites that only bother once loads of people moan about it? This number’s gotta be flagged as super risky and blocked straight away.

Got a call from someone saying they were with Virgin Media about my internet, some lad called Josh just went quiet and hung up - seemed like a dodgy attempt to get into my laptop.

I kept getting calls for someone with my previous name. Whenever I said that wasn’t me, they just refused to say who they were or the reason for calling. It was quite annoying having the phone ring so much with no explanation.

Someone called asking to talk to my partner who died back in 2017. Then they tried to push some free vouchers on me. I told the caller they were being really rude and ended the call straight away.

I received a call from a woman with an Indian accent who really struggled to say my name correctly. She claimed to be from the postcode lottery, but honestly, it felt more like a farcical scam. What a right laugh!

Got a ring from someone claiming to be from the "Postcode lottery" saying me and my family had won a load of supermarket vouchers. Thing is, I’ve never even signed up for that lottery (I prefer to choose where I spend my dosh). So straight away, I clocked it as a scam. When the caller asked for my postcode, I just gave him a made-up one. He told me it wasn’t right, and I just said, "That’s the one I’ve got," and he hung up. Kinda wish they’d kept chatting a bit longer, I could’ve had a laugh winding him up.

Some woman called, claiming to be from the postcode lottery and asked for me by name. She wanted me to verify my postcode, but I refused. She was offering supposedly discounts and vouchers for Tesco, Sainsbury’s, and a few places to eat. Sure, as if! I just ended the call and reported it to the Postcode Lottery themselves. Apparently, loads of others have had the same calls and they’re gathering info to do something about it.

Got a call from 01208 247109, something about 'Mumbai' and they had my full name, which was a bit creepy. I raised my voice to tell them I couldn’t hear them properly. Then she goes, 'Alright, you are sh...' and just hung up on me. Strange!

This number has rung me up three times now, saying I’d won some vouchers. They claimed to be from the postcode lottery and even mentioned the area I left like 16 years back. I just ended the call straight away!!!

Some bloke called ‘James’ from Marks and Spencer rang me saying I’d won a scratch card! He wanted me to confirm some personal info so they could send it over. I told him Marks and Spencer don’t hand out scratch cards. He kept insisting they do - I kept telling him they don’t - eventually he gave an exasperated sigh, said ‘fine then’ and just hung up. Total scam.

Not sure who it was, the number was 01208 247109. They didn't leave a voicemail. They've called quite a few times. Did a bit of digging and it seems to be known for dodgy stuff, maybe a lottery scam or something.

Incoming call came through but they ended it fast before I could pick up.

I received a series of three back-to-back calls from someone trying to reach my husband. They claimed to be a close acquaintance, yet curiously enough, they couldn't even get his name right! To top it off, she had the audacity to refer to him as "my darling." When I pressed for details, she simply shrugged it off, saying it was of a personal nature. It all feels rather dodgy to me. Just a heads up to everyone - stay vigilant!
