Some guy claimed to be calling from BT and said he needed to test my internet speed. He seemed legit at first, even went through some stuff on my laptop and sent a message saying BT Open Reach had contacted me. But when I asked him to hold while I rang BT myself, he suddenly got rude and started shouting, even suggesting I had some kind of mental issue. I ended up just hanging up on him. Later I contacted BT directly and they told me they had no record of any call from their side, though they’ll check my router speed themselves.
