i picked up the phone and there was this recorded message claiming to be from my internet company. it told me my internet would be cut off within a day because supposedly my ip was hacked. they said they’d give me a new one for free if i pressed 1 to talk to some engineer. i tried pressing 1 but it just hung up straight away. no way was that legit!
