Got a call from some bloke claiming his name was James, sounded Indian. He was going on about some issue with my computer that needed fixing. I told him straight up I don’t even own a computer, so he was lying. Then suddenly the call just cut off. Definitely a scam.

Scam telephone call. The chap on the other end, who spoke with a thick Indian accent, identified himself as James. He claimed there were issues with my computer that needed addressing and offered to assist me in sorting it out. I quickly informed him that I was well aware he was fibbing, as I don’t even own a computer. At that point, the call abruptly ended. Quite alarming, really.

Another lot of annoyances rang our landline earlier, and like always, they dropped as soon as our answerphone came on. The number might be faked, so don’t be fooled into thinking it’s actually from Consett (England). From what I've seen, these scammers program their calls to hit loads of numbers at once, so I’ve changed the answerphone to pick up after just two rings. Hopefully, that means they get irritated since our line usually answers before the rest!

Got a call off some guy named David, sounded Asian, claimed he worked for Microsoft. I told him my PC’s not even linked to Microsoft, and anyway, they don’t cold call like that. Then he says he’s gonna remove my computer from Microsoft or summat. Proper fishy if you ask me!

Some bloke named Steve, said he was from Microsoft, rings me up claiming my computer was involved in some sort of fraud over in America. He wanted me to log in so he could sort it out. I told him I was busy, but he insisted that if I didn’t comply, my computer would get blocked. Then he started going on about how he’d have to block it anyway. Got really annoyed and shouted that I’d never be able to use a computer again!

I got a call from someone claiming to be with Microsoft, saying there was some issue with my PC. I told her straight up she was just trying to scam me. She got all defensive and wanted to know how I figured it out. Feeling a bit cheeky, I said I work in IT. Then she suddenly said she never said she was with Microsoft and asked what an IT pro even is. We went back and forth for a bit, then she just ended the call.

Looks like I'm person number 256,913 to complain about this number. Honestly, it's high time big names like Microsoft, HMRC, O2, and the others with billions on the line actually stepped up and dealt with these fraudsters making them look bad. You'd think with all their resources, they'd be able to put a stop to it. Unless, of course, the smartest folks are the crooks and the ones in charge are clueless - I reckon I already know which it is!

Got a call from this number claiming to be from Microsoft. I told them that Microsoft doesn’t usually phone their clients out of the blue. I asked for the exact dates these hacks supposedly happened, and suddenly, the line went dead quiet. I just hung up after that.
