The bloke had a quite thick Indian accent which made it tricky to catch everything he said. He was asking for at least £10,000 to put into some scheme I wasn’t clear about, so I just told him no and ended the call.Capital1 monthI got a call claiming to be from my mobile provider, saying my SIM card was old and they’d send me a new one for free without changing my number. They gave me the last three digits of my number to prove it was them, then asked for my email to send some sort of confirmation. I kept asking why they needed that info, but they just said it was to confirm I was the account owner. Then they started asking how long I’d been at my address, which felt totally irrelevant, and suddenly mentioned I could get a 20% discount!
