Got a call saying my IP was hacked in lots of places and if I didn’t press 1, my computer would be blocked in a day or two. They offered some “free technician” help. This was the second time in just one day. I just hung up straight away. Do they honestly think I’m daft enough to fall for this? What muppets.

So I got a recorded call from someone who said her name was Shirley, claiming to be from my internet provider, warning me my service would be disconnected. I just ended the call straight away. Honestly, this isn't the first time I've received these calls, it's happening way too frequently.

some bloke called saying he was ‘Shirley from your internet provider’, total scammer. just hung up on the dirty trick.

got a call from some recorded voice saying they were shirley from my internet company. mentioned some dodgy activity and said my service was about to be cut off and all that. anyone more easily freaked out might find it worrying. defo report stuff like this to action fraud!
