Over the past few days, I've gotten a couple of calls from this number. A robotic voice says it’s from my credit card’s fraud team and warns of two dodgy transactions: one around £300 at Amazon, and another roughly £1100 with some foreign exchange outfit. They never actually say which credit card they’re talking about. It’s blatantly a scam - honestly, I’m amazed anyone falls for it, but I guess people who are vulnerable might get tricked. My tip? Just hang up straight away and definitely don’t press any buttons when asked.

Got a message from this number claiming our phone line had been used without permission and that BT would be cutting off the service. They said if I wanted to speak to a BT rep to press 1 or 2. It felt dodgy, so we didn’t bother responding or pressing anything. It’s hard to believe it was actually BT calling.
