Got a call around 2pm today from a lady’s voice on a recorded message saying my IP had been hacked from different countries, and that my internet would be cut off in a day or two. She told me to press 1 to talk to someone who’d fix it for free. I figured I’d see what happens, so I pressed 1 and a bloke with an accent from South Asia came on, saying he was from BT’s tech team. When I asked him to confirm he was actually from BT, he just hung up straight away.
