No one ever said who they were, just kept asking for a Mr White. When we told them there's no Mr White at this number, they switched to asking for Mrs White! We get loads of calls like this, always looking for some Mr or Mrs White, but we've never had anyone by that name here. Looking up the number showed it’s coming from Colchester in Essex, so they’re probably just ringing numbers at random. It’s pretty annoying.

Just missed their call by a second and they didn’t leave any voicemail either. Since it was a local landline and I was expecting a genuine call, I decided to ring them back.
