He called and said the wrong name, so I told him the right one, and then he just hung up! What a load of muppets.

some bloke rang me claiming to be from a local energy company in “hahr. which” about my loft insulation. i told him he couldn’t be local if he thought “hahr. which” was the right place coz we just call it “arridge” around here. he quickly hung up after that.

There was a brief pause before a bloke asked if it was me, but he totally butchered the pronunciation of my name. I replied something like "nearly," and then he just hung up. Oddly, there was no area code, only six digits showed up on 1471, which pointed to a local call. Feels like one of those cold sales calls using a spoofed number to me.
