Got a call from a mobile, 07825776778, late last night and then again from a landline early this morning around 8:05. I didn't pick up either time. Took a look online and found that both numbers are linked to the same dodgy company doing scams or harassment. I've blocked both now.

This woman called Gabrielle, said she's an energy advisor, asked me about swapping my windows and brought up some scrappage grant thing. When I asked her where she got my info from, she fibbed saying it was from a National Database and that they call folks not on the Telephone Preference Service. Got a call from a lady claiming to be from an energy advice firm, asking about my loft insulation and heat loss. She was really pushy, trying to book me in for a free heat loss survey at my home. Sounds too good to be true, right? Well, I ended up having to be quite blunt with her to get her off the phone because she just wouldn't take no for an answer. Honestly, it felt more like harassment than anything useful. We all know these “free” offers usually end up costing you a good chunk of cash, often for no real reason. In my view, a classic cold call scam.

At about 9 in the morning, I got a call from someone named Gabby claiming to be from some Energy survey centre. She seemed keen to find out if I was the homeowner and asked about my age and other stuff. I was a bit suspicious and didn’t give any real info. I also tried a few times to ask if she was local, but she dodged the question every time. Eventually, I just hung up since she kept asking the same things but never gave me clear answers.
