Around 7.50 pm, I got a call on our landline from a bloke named Chris, sounded very much like he had a British accent. He claimed there was a five-year warranty on our washing machine costing £100 a year and that we could cancel it by paying £134. Otherwise, he threatened us with small claims court. Quite the coincidence, as my wife and I are a barrister and lawyer ourselves. The company he mentioned goes by the name FULLY PROTECTED LIMITED, supposedly set up in April 2021. Their listed address is 63 Hazledean Road, London NW10 8QT, which looks like a proper mess on Google Maps. No records of filings anywhere, and the director is someone called Shanicka Gabault. If this scam is genuine, then I must be the President of the United States!
