Got a call from someone pretending to be from the police, asking about a car accident I supposedly was in. Total scam, don’t fall for it! They were trying to get info but I just hung up straight away. Watch out for these dodgy calls!

Just like others have said, they knew both my names and claimed I had been in a crash. When I asked for details like when and where it happened, they just ended the call. Was really hoping they’d offer some compo though!

Just like the other calls mentioned here, this woman claimed to be calling from Nationwide and even said she knew who I was. She said it was to discuss a small accident, which is total nonsense since I've never had one. I told her it was rubbish and ended the call straight away.

Just got a phone call about some sort of accident scam. Very dodgy!

This number rang me up and the bloke already had my full name. He mentioned something about an accident I supposedly had. I told him there’s been no accident at all, then he just said sorry and ended the call. Seemed a bit fishy to me. 16 Sep 2015.

My mum got a call on her mobile from that number, the bloke on the other end already knew her last name and started saying she’d been in a car crash. Mum told him she hadn’t been involved in any accident and I told her to just hang up, which she did straight away.
