Seriously, steer well clear of this one!

Got a robo call again but this time they said they were from BT, warning me about some “illegal stuff” on my router and threatening to cut off my internet in a day. I pressed 1 like they asked and ended up talking to someone from some call centre. They tried to say there was an issue with my router and wanted me to let them access my computer. Didn’t feel right at all, so I hung up and blocked the number straight away.

This is the third automated call I've received this month saying my internet is about to be disconnected! I quickly ended the call before they could mess with my bank info or anything personal. No chance I'm letting anyone switch off my internet!

My landline wouldn’t even ring, it must’ve been a sales call since I don’t recognise that number at all.

Some bloke rang me saying he was from BT, said my internet was getting hacked once more. I told him I’m reporting his number to the police scam unit and he just cut me off. When are these con artists gonna give it a rest?! Honestly, everyone should block these kinds of numbers, and if you’ve got elderly folks, make sure they do the same!

In my opinion, anyone who just stays quiet for about 15 seconds and then hangs up is most likely a scammer.
