This morning I got a call from a number claiming to be from "Colchester," but the message was awful, like a dodgy automated French recording. I caught bits about "prizes" and some kind of "opportunity," so obviously a scam. The weird thing is, I don’t even use my phone for any lottery stuff, and certainly never play the Euromillions! If they ring again, I’m planning to have a proper chat with whoever’s on the other end - maybe ask if their mum knows they've turned out to be a thief or a cheat. Something like, "Do you reckon your mum would be proud of this?" Worked on a few dodgy "Microsoft Technical Support" callers before; they just went quiet and hung up. Fingers crossed it makes them think twice. Caller: unknown, sounded Frenchish maybe.
