I’ve been getting loads of spam calls this week from people claiming my internet with TalkTalk is about to be disconnected - absolute joke as I haven’t used TalkTalk in ages! Complete waste of time.

I've been getting calls from this number and a few others starting with 01206. Thankfully, my BT8500 phone blocks them, so they never manage to get through. Really pleased with that, cause I hardly ever get spam calls. I reckon the fault lies a bit with the firms handing out these numbers, probably to folks without proper addresses, making it impossible to track them down.

I wasn’t familiar with the number, so I let it ring through. Then a woman’s voice prompted me to leave a message, and shortly after, I heard her say “thank you for calling.” I hadn’t even touched the phone at all during that time! That number’s been banned now.
