Every night around 11 pm or even later, I get a robo call from this number, and it’s really annoying. When I pick up, there’s complete silence from the other end. Trying to figure out who it might be!

Today, on the 12th of July 2021, I received calls from this number on both my landline and mobile. Being 81 years of age, I can't help but feel rather anxious about it.

I received a rather dodgy phone call that claimed to be from Microsoft regarding my computer. When I pointed out that the individual she was after had passed away eight years ago, she didn’t seem to bat an eyelid and continued her attempt to con me. I let her ramble on for a good five minutes just to waste her time a bit and, in a small way, protect others from her nonsense.

I received a call from someone purporting to be from Microsoft Support. They mentioned encountering error alerts on my PC. When I inquired about my licence number, they provided a number that didn’t match mine at all. It's worth noting that they’re incredibly tenacious, as they keep ringing me back time and again.

I received a call that claimed to be from Microsoft, supposedly regarding an issue with my computer. When I informed the caller that this was a business line, she immediately resorted to swearing, even spelling out her expletives for emphasis. It's evident that this is not a genuine operation; instead, they seem to employ quite the foul-mouthed individuals, and it’s rather astonishing to see someone attempt to spell out their crude language!

Got a call from someone claiming to be Microsoft, saying my PC was throwing up error messages. I wasn’t buying any of it, so I told her off. That made her lose it, and she told me to “stick my computer where the sun don’t shine.” I wasn’t having any of that and fired back with a few choice words, only for her to keep hurling abuse before hanging up on me!

Yesterday, I received a rather suspicious call from this number, with the caller purporting to be from Microsoft. They alleged that my computer had some sort of fraudulent activity going on. Oddly enough, they knew both my name and my partner's, which raised my alarm bells. They insisted I should hop onto my computer and log in, but I wasn’t having any of that. When I inquired about their location, they claimed to be calling from the Microsoft UK office in Reading. The tone of their voice shifted to annoyance as I challenged them, so I promptly hung up.

Got a call from some bloke claiming to be from Microsoft, name was Jason Parker or something. He told me my computer was being hijacked by hackers doing all sorts of dodgy things like uploading illegal stuff. I told him to ring the cops then, and he said they already had. I just laughed and said I’d be waiting for them. Absolute waste of time! Honestly, mate, try not being so aggressive with your spiel - it’s not working on me! 😂👌🏼

Got a missed call from some unknown number, no message or name left on my voicemail. Apparently, there’s been a couple of payments made using my card this morning, one for £300 to Amazon and another for £1,100 on some international transfer site. They claim these are suspicious because I’ve never spent money like that before. The automated message said to press one to confirm, two to cancel or to talk to someone about it. Just be aware, this is a total con trying to nab your bank info.

Got a call earlier, but no one said who they were, just left a vague message on my answering machine. Apparently, there were two payments made on my card this morning - one for £300 from Amazon and another quite big one, £1,100, on some overseas money transfer site. Since I’ve never used my card for anything like this before, it seemed a bit dodgy. They told me to press One if I wanted to confirm, press Two to cancel, or speak to an advisor. Honestly, it’s totally a scam, they just want to trick you into giving out your bank info. Stay careful!

I received a rather curious call from someone named Jasmine who asserted she was representing Microsoft. She requested to be put through to “the computer” user, which I found rather odd. The moment I began probing her with a few questions, her tone shifted dramatically. She became quite confrontational, even resorting to name-calling before abruptly ending the call. I received a rather dubious call from a chap purporting to be from Microsoft. He insisted that my computer was dispatching distress signals and had presumably been compromised by an outside party. Some bloke phoned me claiming to be from Microsoft. I told him my computer was fine and ended the call. Right after, he rang me again but this time from another number, 01919250553, and started swearing at me because I’d cut him off.

Definitely a scammy call and they were quite rude when I answered.

Got a call from someone saying she was Crystal and that she worked for Microsoft (yeah right). I just replied with a simple "Is that so?" and she just cut me off. Proper cheeky behaviour!

A person with an Indian accent called pretending to be from Microsoft. As soon as I challenged them, they just hung up.

I got a call from a bloke claiming to be from Microsoft. This was the day after I’d got a security alert on my laptop. I told him straight up it sounded like a load of rubbish and he was probably after my bank info. No way was I giving anything away. He just ended the call.

Just got another call from a different number earlier today, same deal - no voicemail left after it went to answerphone. Really frustrating having these calls back to back this morning.

First, a lady rang me up and I told her I hadn't touched my laptop in more than a week, so there was no way it got hacked. Then, right after, a bloke phoned and told me not to put the phone down because hackers can get into your computer even if it's off. I ended the call again. The phone kept ringing straight away, so I just unplugged it for about an hour. Definitely sounds like a scam.

Total rip off, scam alert all the way! Scam with eggs, chips, you name it. Just block them or don’t even bother answering!

Wasn't in when they rang and no message was left. After seeing what others have said about this number, I’m definitely gonna block it.

Even with all the coverage and warnings over the years about this scam, it’s crazy how many folks still end up getting caught out by it. I just don’t get how it’s still happening!

Could be Microsoft, maybe?

In the space of an hour I got two calls from this number. I answered both but nobody said anything before it just went quiet and the call ended. Hate how these scammy calls never get properly blocked.

Just another typical silent call, nothing new really.

A woman named Jean rang me earlier, she spoke with an Asian accent and said she was from the 'Cyber Security Department'. This wasn’t the first time though - she’d phoned just a short while before from another number. I quickly hung up and blocked that number, and did the same with this call as soon as I realised it was her again.

Got a call from 01205648167 earlier. My husband answered but didn’t say a word, and then the call just dropped straight away. Definitely felt like some sort of scam.

They said they were from Microsoft. At first they’re all smooth and convincing, then suddenly it’s like they’re ordering me about. When I hung up, they kept calling back over and over.

I received a dodgy call claiming to be from "Microsoft." They also rang me from this number: 02038765849. After I blocked them, they had the audacity to ring me again using that number!

Got a call around half eight in the evening, but they didn’t say anything or leave a message. Feels like it might’ve been a scam.

Got a call from a person saying they worked for Microsoft tech support. The lady was on the phone forever, so I just got on with ironing and catching up on some stuff on Amazon Prime. She wasn’t too fond of Jim Browning, apparently he’s the one who turns the tables on scammers like them. Worth a look on YouTube if you wanna see what I mean.

I got a call from someone saying they were with Microsoft, somewhere in Reading, about my computer. They gave me a name and a phone number, and kept insisting they were legit. When I asked why they were ringing me again, I mentioned other calls I’d had from similar numbers before and they didn’t really have a good answer. Definitely felt like a scam to me.

Got a call from a lady claiming she's with Microsoft, talking about my laptop. Sometimes it's a man, sometimes a woman, both Indian. Honestly, these sorts of calls are really dodgy, no ethics whatsoever. This is totally a scam, no doubt about it. They've gone back to ringing me twice daily now. Seriously, when will these calls just bloody stop?

A lady rang me up supposedly from Microsoft, but I wasn’t buying it. I pointed out that she was calling from a rundown, musty flat and must be one of those dodgy scammers. Predictably, she ended the call rather quickly!

Got a call at 8 in the morning and when I answered, there was dead silence - no irritating Indian accent this time, thank goodness. Saw others mentioning the Microsoft scam too, so it's clearly one of those annoying daily calls that just won’t quit!

I was like, how do you even manage to sleep at night, tricking people out of their money? And then, just like that, the call was cut off.
