I've been getting a persistent automated call from this number around eleven o'clock every night, and it’s quite frustrating! Whenever I pick up, there's only silence on the other end. I’m really keen to uncover the identity of this mystery caller!

Pretending to represent Microsoft

Today, on the 12th of July 2021, I received calls from this number on both my landline and mobile. Being 81 years of age, I can't help but feel rather anxious about it.

I received a rather dodgy phone call that claimed to be from Microsoft regarding my computer. When I pointed out that the individual she was after had passed away eight years ago, she didn’t seem to bat an eyelid and continued her attempt to con me. I let her ramble on for a good five minutes just to waste her time a bit and, in a small way, protect others from her nonsense.

Today, the 7th of December 2021, I've received calls from this number on both my landline and my mobile. At the age of 81, this has left me feeling quite anxious.

As soon as I picked up, they ended the call without saying a word.

There was such a long pause that I figured straight away it was dodgy. I just brushed him off completely.

Unwanted Attention

Caught wind of a bit of a dodgy scheme involving Microsoft, it seems!

I've been getting calls from this number at precisely 7:40 each morning for the past week. It's becoming quite bothersome!

I received a call claiming to be from Microsoft, insisting that my computer was sending out error signals. When I didn't buy into their nonsense, the woman on the line told me to "shove my computer up my backside." Naturally, I couldn’t let that slide and fired back a less-than-polite remark! She just continued hurling insults before abruptly hanging up on me!

Yesterday, I received a rather suspicious call from this number, with the caller purporting to be from Microsoft. They alleged that my computer had some sort of fraudulent activity going on. Oddly enough, they knew both my name and my partner's, which raised my alarm bells. They insisted I should hop onto my computer and log in, but I wasn’t having any of that. When I inquired about their location, they claimed to be calling from the Microsoft UK office in Reading. The tone of their voice shifted to annoyance as I challenged them, so I promptly hung up.

I just encountered a rather alarming message warning me of a potential scam. It claimed that my computer is under threat from hackers and suggested they’ve managed to infiltrate it. Quite concerning, to say the least! Best to be cautious and look into this further.

I'm getting quite a few calls where nobody says a word – it seems like they might be hoping I'll ring back and cough up for the call. Quite the hassle, really!

Called 01205648167, but it was a bit strange. No one picked up the phone, yet I could hear chatter in the background. Quite odd, really!

He went on about how my computer was under attack, insisting he could view the breach from his end. When I mentioned I wasn't near my machine, he insisted I make my way there immediately. Is this some sort of scam? He promised to ring again.

Just received a call that didn’t say a thing. I’m relieved I checked it out. Here we are again, facing another week of pesky scam phone calls despite being on the Telephone Preference Service list!

I received a rather curious call from someone named Jasmine who asserted she was representing Microsoft. She requested to be put through to “the computer” user, which I found rather odd. The moment I began probing her with a few questions, her tone shifted dramatically. She became quite confrontational, even resorting to name-calling before abruptly ending the call. To top it all off, she ominously declared that I could expect daily calls from her moving forward!

Didn’t get a response.

I received a call from an unfamiliar number and chose not to answer it.

I received a call from someone claiming to be 'Marcus from Microsoft,' and I must say, the conversation took a very unpleasant turn when I declined to follow his instructions. He became quite aggressive and even made some rather inappropriate remarks, along with threats about showing up at my place. It was all very unsettling, to say the least.

Received a call purporting to be from Microsoft, where the individual insisted I switch on my computer. They got rather irate and bluntly mentioned that the call was racking up charges for me.

Once again, it’s Microsoft on the line. I find it quite bothersome how they respond if you dare to cut in; they just don’t seem to get it. When I mentioned I'm not interested in unsolicited calls, they had the audacity to argue that they’re not cold callers!

Fraudulent individual.

Received a call from someone claiming to be from Microsoft, stating there was an issue with my computer. Knowing full well that Microsoft doesn't make such calls, I expressed my doubts and promptly ended the conversation by blocking the number.

A lady with a distinctly foreign accent rang me up, claiming to be from Microsoft. Right away, I had my suspicions it was a scam, so I promptly cut the call.

The moment I picked up the call, the line went dead. I have a sneaking suspicion this is some sort of scam.

I received a rather dubious call from a chap purporting to be from Microsoft. He insisted that my computer was dispatching distress signals and had presumably been compromised by an outside party. He went on to say that Microsoft had attempted to alert me with warnings, though apparently, no such messages could be traced. When I requested his contact number, he provided what he claimed was Microsoft's toll-free number starting with 0344.... Frankly, I have serious reservations about the legitimacy of this call and suspect it may well be a scam.

I received a call from this number, but as soon as I picked up, they disconnected. I suspect it's a dodgy scam call, and it seems others have had similar experiences with this number as well.

I noticed the Boston area code popping up, but when I picked up the phone, there was silence on the other end.

I received a call from 01205648167 earlier today. My husband answered it, but there was complete silence on the line before it cut off. Definitely seems like a fraudulent call.

They asserted they were from Microsoft. The tone shifted quickly from convincing to downright demanding. Once I hung up, they proceeded to ring me repeatedly.

I received a dodgy call claiming to be from "Microsoft." They also rang me from this number: 02038765849. After I blocked them, they had the audacity to ring me again using that number!

A lady rang me up supposedly from Microsoft, but I wasn’t buying it. I pointed out that she was calling from a rundown, musty flat and must be one of those dodgy scammers. Predictably, she ended the call rather quickly!

I avoided answering the phone since it was a number I didn't recognise.
