Some bloke called Adam Woods rang me, said he was from Openreach or something, claiming my internet needs swapping on Friday 'cause of the copper cables. He wanted me to check all sorts of stuff, but I wasn’t falling for it. Told him he disturbed me right after I got out the shower. Then he reckoned he’d call back in an hour. Sorry mate, I’m not daft - his number’s well and truly blocked now.

Received a phone call around half past nine this morning. The chap on the other end had quite a strong Indian accent, claiming to be from SKY. He mentioned that my router was experiencing some sluggishness, and for a fee of £34.00, they could sort it out for me. I questioned how he knew about my issues, given that I hadn’t made any reports, and asked how I could be certain he was genuinely associated with SKY. In response, he suggested they could arrange for a technician to come out to my place, but then abruptly hung up!

About thirty minutes ago, I got a call from this number. The bloke said his name was Steve, sounded quite Asian, and he was asking about how many devices were linked to my router. Something was off though, he just didn’t seem like a “Steve” to me. So I told him I didn’t think he was really Steve and ended the call. I also contacted Virgin Media to let them know, and they said there’s been no one accessing my account today.
