I received a rather unexpected phone call from someone inquiring about outstanding debts.

I received a phone call from someone purporting to represent a debt relief company. Instantly, I suspected it might be a con and decided to block the number. They were going on about my unsecured debts and unpaid balances.

I get so many calls from this number and loads of others that sound the same, it’s obviously a scam. It’s really annoying now. Every time I block one, they just ring me back from another number.

I've been getting calls nonstop from these numbers about supposed debts. Thing is, I always make sure to pay off my credit on time and my credit score's quite good. Wouldn't recommend trusting this number at all. I'm pretty certain they've gotten hold of my info from somewhere dodgy, and when I ask them where they got my details, they just dodge the question.

Got a call from these people claiming I owed money. Don’t give them any info, they just want to trap you into more debt. This company is a total scam, stay clear or you’ll only get into a worse financial mess.

Got a call about some debt, just hung up and blocked the number, no point stressing over it lol.

So I got a call from some kind of money help outfit. On a recorded line, they gave me a couple choices - get help for free or say no thanks. They said they were ringing because apparently I owe money, but if that’s not the case, I’d double-check my accounts just in case someone’s racked up debt pretending to be me or something.

It’s pretty annoying, especially since I’m mixed race myself, but every time I get a call from “credit investigation” it’s always someone with an Indian accent. I’m not in any debt at all, plus I actually work for StepChange, the debt charity. As soon as I mention that, they usually hang up straight away.
