Got a call from some bloke claiming to be from O2 trying to save me money. Told him straight up I knew it was a scam but he just carried on with his spiel. Ended the call quickly and blocked the number right away. Total scam, don’t fall for it!

Just got a call that was definitely a scam pretending to be from Virgin or O2. The phone showed it as potential spam, and the caller claimed my sim card was about to stop working and they needed to send a replacement. They even sent me a text with a code, but I told them I’d ring O2 myself to confirm, and they didn’t object. When I contacted O2, they told me they’d never ring up asking for the 6-digit code from a text message. This code should only be given to them if you call first. Be careful, it’s a total scam!
