Today I got a call from this number claiming they were with Blackhorse Finance and said I was owed £2,500 in PPI. I told them I sorted my PPI ages ago, so there's no chance of that. As soon as I said that, they suddenly lost interest and ended the call. Total scammers!

This number just rang me up, and I’m retired. When I asked who it was, the bloke reckoned I was due £2,500 from a PPI claim from 2017. I told him straight it was a scam and he just cut me off. Honestly, there’s some nasty folks out there trying to con people, and apparently this number’s meant to be from Bolton, Manchester.

This lady claimed she was from Black Horse Finance, part of Lloyds Banking Group, and said I had £2,572.00 ready to be paid into my bank as a PPI refund. She asked me to confirm which bank I used. I didn’t give her any info and got a feeling it was a scam. When she started getting annoyed with me, I just ended the call.

Got a call from 01204 935778, which I quickly worked out was some dodgy scam from a landline. Didn’t even answer it. Honestly, I’m so over these annoying calls coming through on my phone, even though I put my mobile and home number on the Telephone Preference Service ages ago! The government - whoever is in charge now - really ought to do something to shut these call centres down. It’s just plain irritating, stressful and exhausting. The people working there clearly don’t care about right or wrong and should seriously find a proper job instead.

At first the caller spoke slowly, a chap with an Asian accent who gave his name as John. He asked for my name to confirm, then mentioned "repairs overdue on a rented place". Looks like it was probably a scam attempt to me.

Got no clue who rang me, but as soon as I answered they just cut off. My phone showed it as a call that connected for zero seconds instead of a missed one. Seems like they're using some auto dialer and don’t have enough staff to pick up when someone actually answers.
