I received a call this evening from someone claiming that my washing machine warranty has run out and they were keen to get me to renew it. It's clearly a scam targeting home appliances. Just a heads up! The fella was rather insistent, too.

Got a guy ringing me up about social housing and was asking if there was any damage to my windows or doors. Didn't sound right to me.

Got a call from a blocked number, no idea who it was at first cause the start got cut off. The message said something about James Anderson from HMRC and warned me they were sending a warrant for my arrest to the nearby court. I missed the call and got a voicemail about it. Then, a couple hours later, I got another voicemail with the exact same message but without any ring beforehand. Decided to block the number after that.

I got a call from a number claiming to be Esure insurance, but I’ve never had a policy with them, not even before. I did ask for a quote once but specifically said don’t call me back. They completely ignored that request. Now I’ve blocked the number.

They've been ringing me every day, but the moment I pick up, they hang up. At last, I got through to someone who claimed I had a service agreement for my washing machine that had expired. I've never signed up for any washing machine service plan, and I don't need one, but the woman kept pushing that I needed to renew it and tried to get me to pay. It felt like a total scam to get my bank info. This kind of behaviour is definitely dodgy. I've reported them and reckon everyone else should do the same.
