I couldn't quite make out what he was attempting to pitch, as his voice was so faint that I ended up disconnecting the call.

Stay clear of giving out your card info to these lot, its a total rip off. They claim your insurance expired ages ago, even if you never even had any to begin with. Then they try saying they've got your old card details, just to trick you into handing over your new ones. Don’t fall for it!
