Got a call about switching my landline provider. Didn’t catch who they were with, but I told them I’m stuck in a contract. The guy said they’d cover the exit fees and I could pay it off bit by bit. Picked up the phone and said my name (let's go with Bob). I started with "Hello, Bob here". The person replied with just "Hello?", so I repeated "Hello, Bob here". She said "Hello?" once more, so I told her again, "Hello, Bob here". Then she asks, "Am I speaking to Bob?" and I just thought, she's a bit daft. So I say "No" and she immediately ended the call. Not a threat or anything, just annoyingly clueless.

I was contacted by what they claimed was an insurance review firm, insisting they weren’t peddling any products. However, after handing over my info, I was bombarded by a further ten companies ringing me up! They even tried the old trick of cold-calling under the pretense of conducting surveys, claiming that my life insurance would somehow lapse and leave my family in the lurch if I were to kick the bucket. Really? Of course it’s set up to go to my loved ones, as I’ve got a will that clearly states it!

Got a call about a life insurance check. The lady sounded quite sharp and then suddenly called me 'love', which felt a bit odd, so I got a bit defensive. Told her I don’t have life insurance since I don’t see the point. She just ended the call - pretty rude if you ask me. Still, I do enjoy messing around with these callers when they ring. Just got a nasty call from Tye Parker claiming to be from some Life Review Department. He wanted to speak to my mum but I said she wasn’t around. Instead of backing off, he kept going on with all this nonsense. When I asked where he got our info from, he just brushed it off. Then he kept talking to me like I was my mum! I told him how can he talk about her life insurance when she died in January? He snaps back, saying I wasted his time for 30 seconds. He got quite rude after that. I said no, I clearly told you she’s not here and you decided to carry on anyway. So disrespectful!

Rude woman, didn’t even bother to say who she was until she found out who I was. Told her it’s common courtesy to introduce yourself first before asking for someone, and all I got was a grumpy “urg” before she cut me off.
