They’ve phoned me a few times now. The first call they actually got my surname correct but asked for a Mrs X, which isn’t me. I got a call from 01204843666 earlier today. The person on the other end asked for me by name, but then just dropped the call. I reckon it was some overseas call centre checking off a list to gather numbers and info to flog to marketing firms, even if you’re on the TPS. If you end up speaking to them or confirming any info, like your name, it just proves you’re a valid contact for their database. Afterwards, they probably sell that list, pretending you gave the nod for marketing calls.
