Got a call on my home phone Friday 1st March - looks like one of those medical scams, based on what others have said. Best just to block and steer clear. Shame they don't have "total nuisance" as an option on here 😊

Just like the rest, tried the medical alert pendant trick. Didn’t sit right when he claimed to be my local health care person, yet he was calling from Bolton while I’m over here in Bristol.

Just like others mentioned, I asked what illness they were talking about but it was clearly an automated voice as there was no proper answer. Instead, it just kept going on about an alarm that costs something like £1.70 a day. Definitely felt like they wanted my bank info. I ended the call straight away.

Wow, Sam sure is getting a lot of calls this evening! I had a similar thing happen to me. I honestly thought it was some sort of automated message and ended up hanging up.

Typical scam - no matter what product they claim to be selling. The whole point of the call is to get hold of your bank card info. This one with the alarm pendants is especially awful since it targets old people and those with disabilities.

Got a call from this number earlier. The bloke asked if I could hear him alright. I said yes. It all seemed a bit rehearsed but the gist was he wanted to send me a free pendant, said it’d come with a daily fee since I’m supposedly over 60 and have a medical issue. I just ended the call.
2 years
This is a medical scam, beware! Dont talk to them coz they might be recordin your voice to use it somwhere else.

I just ignore these annoying calls that keep coming to my landline. They're clearly trying to con us into buying rubbish we don't need. Honestly thinking about ditching my home phone altogether since all I seem to get are scam callers.

Got a call from someone pushing a medical alert pendant, claiming I was 60 plus, which is not true. Told him to piss off, and he just kept going with his rehearsed lines. I just laughed, called him a plank, and ended the call. These sorts can be really harmful if they prey on vulnerable folks. They really should be banned completely. ####

Got a call from someone named Sam about a medical alert system. Told him I wasn’t interested and he ended the chat. This 01204 806809 rang my elderly mum around 2.25 today claiming to be a care worker and telling her she could get a free medical falls alarm. The moment I started speaking to him, he was quick to end the call. Just a heads up, this looks like a scam. Don’t share any personal info with them!

Just got a call from 01204 806809 saying “according to their records” I had multiple health problems but didn’t own a medical alert necklace. There were loads of awkward pauses, seemed more like a robot than an actual person (male voice). Ended the call and blocked the number. Pretty sure it’s a scam, but it could really upset someone who’s more fragile.

This number rang me earlier today, and a bloke named Sam was on the line. He claimed to be linked with the NHS medical and said he’d received my info because I’m in my seventies and might require a care alarm. Someone rang me sayin I’d been picked coz of my health problems and they wanted to give me a Pendant to wear on me neck or waist. Said it helps in emergencies and I wouldn’t have to pay anything since I’m over 60. Then they tried to say it’d only cost me just under £1.73 a day for peace of mind. I just ended the call there.

Sam from the nearby health centre called me and asked if I could hear him properly, and I naively said yes. He then went on saying that their files showed I’m in a medical risk group and that I qualified for a free emergency alert pendant. It’s clearly dodgy, but I can see how older folks or those more vulnerable might easily be tricked by it.

This bloke said he was a healthcare worker from around here - but I’m in London and the number wasn’t even a London one! 01204 806809 Got a dodgy call from someone trying to flog a ‘medical info pendant’ to wear around your neck for emergencies. They seem to be aiming at older folks or those with health problems. Thankfully, that’s not me! The bloke sounded posh, but it was actually just a recorded message saying it costs about £1.33 a day. I hung up sharpish before they could try and get my card info! The call came from 01204 806809.

Got a call on my landline, which I thought was odd since I’m on the TPS register. The conversation was weird, loads of awkward pauses. They mentioned something about giving out free personal alarms for people with medical issues, in case they have a fall at home. I’d just come back from the doctors myself, and I’m fine. It didn’t seem like a recorded message, but with all these AI things nowadays, who can tell? I cut the call off before they could ask for any details.

The person seemed unsure when I picked up. Said they were a doctor from nearby. Then just hung up.

Didn't know the number so I just ignored it, but from what others are saying it sounds like a right scam.

Some bloke rang me claiming to be from the local health service, saying I was eligible for an emergency alert bracelet. Since the call didn’t sound local at all, I quickly told him to jog on.

Got a call from someone named Sam claiming to be my local healthcare worker - I just ended the call straight away. Definite scam, and a really cruel one targeting people who might be at risk. Hope they find and stop this person fast! Make sure to tell your friends and family about this dodgy character!

Just like others said, this Sam person claims to be a local healthcare worker but Bolton's miles away from me. Proper scam if you ask me.

Got a call that began with "Hello, can you hear me alright?" Some bloke named Sam claimed to be from SOS, selling pendants for just £1.60... total rip-off. We're a business, not a private number, and he seemed to think the person answering was an older bloke with health issues needing one of these pendants. In reality, the call was picked up by a 37-year-old woman! There was also loads of noise in the background, sounded exactly like a call centre.

Just got a call from 01204 806 809, they were pushin' some falls pendant on me. Told 'em I already got one, but couldn't get a single word said coz he kept talkin' over me. When I finally got him to get it, he was proper rude and sarcastic, not impressed at all.

Like others here, there was ages of silence, then she asked if I could hear her alright. A woman called "Sam" was pushing a free medical alert pendant. I'm on the TPS list too... Would say it's dodgy but there's no option for that here.

This bloke claimed his files say I’m past 70 and have some health issue, so I qualify for one of those alarm pendants. Neither is true. I kept asking where he got that info from, but he just ended the call.

This number rang me up, saying they were a local health advisor named SAM, but the person on the other end didn’t respond properly to anything I said. Totally feels like a SCAM to me - my tip is to never, ever answer YES to any question they ask. When I said "No" to the question about being over 60, they just replied "OK, I respect your decision" and then hung up, even though I hadn’t really made any sort of decision.

Got a dodgy call from someone claiming I’m over 70 and trying to peddle a neck health pendant. I’m definitely not close to 70! They kept pausing loads, especially when I asked where they got my info from. Told them to delete my details and they just hung up.

The caller never gave their company name and claimed the reason for calling was to collect my personal info so they could send me a free medical alert pendant. I’ve had my number on the TPS list for more than 10 years.

This person rang me and said I was selected because of some high risk medical stuff and offered a pendant to wear on my neck or waist that could help in emergency situations. They said it wouldn't cost me anything since I'm over 60. Then mentioned for under £1.73 a day I could feel protected. I ended the call pretty quick. The number was 01204 806809.

Got a call earlier today. When I picked up, a man asked, "Are you able to hear me?" I said yes. After that, there was silence from his end but I could hear someone typing and some noises in the background. He introduced himself as Sam, saying he was a health visitor nearby. I didn’t say anything back, but the typing and background sounds carried on. I then asked who he worked for, but didn’t get any answer. Tried asking again, still nothing except the typing noises, so I ended the call.

Just a moment ago, someone rang claiming to be a healthcare worker. They said they were aware of my health issues and insisted I needed a lifeline pendant for safety. The call kept cutting out and when I mentioned I already had one and asked where they got my details from, the person abruptly ended the call.

So I picked up the phone and some guy just goes, "Hello? Are you there?" I asked who he was but he just kept quiet. I ended the call, but when I tried again, the line was still dead with no dial tone. I told him to stop messing about and hang up, and eventually he did. Such a strange time-waster!

Today, I got a call from this number out of nowhere, saying I was on some medical register for people over 70, which apparently means I qualify for a call button. I asked them where this list was from, but they just kept hesitating and didn’t give me an answer. Then I said, “Is this a scam? Because it sounds like one.” They just hung up on me. I’m definitely blocking this number now.

Got a call from this number around 9:30 today, a bloke said I had some health issue and needed to buy a pendant. I asked him how he knew about my health and he got all flustered and couldn’t really give me an answer. I told him if I needed anything, I’d check with my doctor and then just hung up.
