I keep getting these random calls that I never asked for. It's becoming quite the nuisance!

Got a call from this number, said they were from 02 but it was a total scam. Trying to blag my bank info, so definitely don't trust it!

Got a few calls from this number today but no one spoke when I answered. Strange.

Got a few calls from this number but it just went to voicemail and there was no message left. After seeing all your posts about it, I’ve gone ahead and blocked it. Cheers for the heads up!

Got a call supposedly from o2 or EE, maybe even Carphone Warehouse, claiming I’d been picked for some “special deal.” They were offering some unbelievable plan - unlimited calls, texts, data on the newest phone for just about £20 a month. Sounds fishy, right? Then they asked me straight up for my bank info on the call. I’m pretty sure they just wanted to nick money from my account. As the saying goes, if it sounds too good to be real, it probably isn’t. Definitely a scam to watch out for.

Best thing is to just ignore it completely. Don't bother picking up.

Appreciate the heads-up, cheers!

This was a total scam. The caller claimed I’d get my 02 contract for just £6 a month. I said I’d sort everything out in the official 02 store and then ended the call. Right before they rang, I got a text supposedly from 02 Uk with some kind of code. I’m pretty sure those dodgy scammers sent it. The text had a space between "02" and "UK" (02 UK), whereas real messages from 02 come through like "02UK" with no space.

Honestly, how many times must I tell them to just leave me alone and stop ringing? It’s so clear this is a scam, I wouldn’t pick up if I were you.

My phone just showed this number and it automatically labelled it as Spam and stopped it from ringing!

Got a call from someone claiming to be from O2, offering me an almost free phone contract if I signed up immediately and handed over my bank info. I was a bit fed up with her pushy attitude, so I jokingly told her I’d kicked the bucket just yesterday. Told her that last time I checked with the big guy upstairs, no one needed mobile phones in the afterlife. Honestly, with the way she was talking, I definitely wouldn’t want to see her up there! 😂

Like some others have mentioned, someone said they were from EE and offered me a 40% discount on my existing plan. But when I asked what my current deal was, they couldn’t say. Felt a bit dodgy to me.

Glad I found out this was dodgy as I was worried about calling them back. I’m not with O2 or EE, so no way is this legit.

Felt like a total scam to me. Some bloke called saying I qualified for a discount on my phone bill, but to tell me how much, he asked for a code he'd just sent to my phone. I said no way and that it sounded dodgy, then he just cut the call. Definitely dodgy behaviour.

They just keep ringing, pretending they're from O2 - total scam alert. This afternoon, a very polite lady with an Indian accent, who said her name was Mary, got through to me. I decided to pretend like I didn't know much and put on a posh voice. Ended up feeding her about ten fake credit card numbers before 'Mary' lost her cool and called me a ####, then abruptly ended the call 😂😂😂. Managed to waste nearly 50 minutes of her time while scrolling through TikTok, so fingers crossed I stopped someone else from falling for it. 😁😉👍

Got a call from someone claiming to be O2 wanting to switch my 4G SIM to 5G. When I mentioned that we can barely even get 3G where I live, they sounded annoyed and just ended the call.

This bloke had a really strong accent and said he was ringing from EE. He kept going on about how I’m a loyal customer but I told him I’m not with EE at all. Then he abruptly said I must be with O2 instead and suddenly ended the call. Bit strange if you ask me.
