Received a rather alarming phone call today, 2nd October 2020, claiming that HMRC has apparently issued an arrest warrant against me. They insisted I press 1 immediately to avoid serious consequences. I’ve checked, and it’s definitely a scam, as confirmed by HMRC themselves. The way it was delivered felt quite menacing, to say the least.
