Got a call from a guy with a strong foreign accent claiming my BT router was sending suspicious messages to BT. He wanted me to turn on my laptop so he could check something. I told him I wasn’t comfortable and asked that a technician come round to check instead. He then said they wouldn't send anyone unless there was definitely an issue with the router and that he needed to connect to my laptop first. I asked for his phone number and email so I could confirm he worked for BT, but as soon as I did, the line just cut off. Another obvious scam that really should be stopped.
