I got a call, picked up, and all I heard was silence before some voice just said ‘bye’. Honestly, it’s so annoying and kinda pathetic that folks have nothing better to do than make pointless calls to strangers. Honestly, I can't imagine what goes on in their head - must be pure boredom or something.

Got a call from 01204 4587863 earlier today. The bloke had an Asian accent and said he was from Talk Talk support. I wasn’t having any of it and just told him to bugger off.

I really assumed that these scam phone calls would have fizzled out by this point. This one claimed to be from TalkTalk, but that was clearly nonsense. I often keep them chatting for a good twenty minutes before I expose their ruse, but I just couldn’t be bothered with this particular call.

Answered the phone but no one said anything. The caller said my name, then the call just dropped. I tried calling back but the number didn’t seem to exist.
